Meet The Doctor

Tom Sherrill, DVM
DABVP (Feline/Canine Practice)

Dr. Sherrill purchased his first ultrasound machine in 1996 while in private practice. He has since completed over 250 hours of abdominal and cardiac ultrasound training at the Academy of Veterinary Imaging at Sound Technologies in Arlington, TX. Dr. Sherrill further advanced his ultrasound diagnostic skills by interning over a 3-‐year period with Dr. Marty Henderson, founder of SonoVet, a mobile ultrasound practice serving the Greater San Antonio area.

Dr. Sherrill first discovered his passion for diagnostic ultrasound as a biomedical engineer, soon after graduating with honors from University of Florida College of Electrical Engineering. He then earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has practiced more than 25 years as a small animal practitioner.

In 1997, Dr. Sherrill became board certified as a specialist in canine and feline practice by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. He continues to retain and update this diplomat status.

Dr. Sherrill is a staff veterinarian and ultrasound lab instructor at Sound Technologies in addition to his mobile ultrasound consultation practice. Through his teaching and ongoing association with nationally recognized experts in the field, he is able to bring to you the most up to date diagnostic services.

Dr. Sherrill brings to your veterinary practice state of the art ultrasound imaging and same day interpretation service. He serves the Dallas/Denton and Mid-‐cities areas.
